Skin Dee
- Skin Soak: Relax after a long day by pampering your soul and your skin in your own personalized aromatherapy bath. Mix 3 cups Epsom salt, 1-tablespoon glycerin, a few drops of food coloring (your choice for a bit of color, but not necessary) and perfume or essential oils, such as clove, lavender or peppermint, together in a glass or metal bowl. Add ½ to ¾ cup of the mixture to a hot bath; store remainder in an apothecary jar with a latch to use in the future.
- Chapped Skin: Add a small amount of pure glycerin to rosewater. Apply this solution to your chapped face, hands and lips, and pat dry.
- Dry, Flaky Skin: Apply undiluted sweet oil to the skin to soften instantly. For extra moisturizing, apply to hands and feet at night and cover with cotton gloves or socks while you sleep.
- Makeup Removal: Baby oil or petroleum jelly have long been used for makeup removal, but sweet oil on a cotton ball works just as well -- some say, even better.
